#RockportChallenge: Summer Wedding Style

It seems like ever since I turned 25, I've spent the majority of my summer weekends at weddings. Since weddings are highly photographed occasions and I refuse to be snapped in the same dress twice, finding looks that turn heads has become my personal mission.
I've teamed up with the great people of Rockport to share with you my steps for assuring you'll be the best dressed guest.

Vero Moda mini dress / Rockport wedge shoes / Chanel black purse / Stella and Bow necklace / House of Harlow 1960 cocktail ring / Nars cosmetic / Black mascara / Essie nail polish / Sony DSC-RX100M II Cyber-shot Digital Still Camera 20.2MP, Black
Step one: Shop for a killer LBD (little black dress). Since you can't wear white to a wedding (which is always tempting since it's such a pretty summer color), black is the next best thing. It works for day or night, it goes with every color and it won't show any signs of sweat when you're cutting it up on the dance floor.
Step two: Carefully select a statement pair of shoes that add major pizazz to your outfit, but spare you the pain. The shoes pictured above are the Seven to 7 Laser Peep Toe Wedge from Rockport, which add a fun pop of color (they call this Poppy Red) and their ADIPRENE by adidas sport technology has these wedges offering the same level of comfort and support as your favorite pair of running shoes. Sit out a dance? Not in these beauties.
Step three: Accessorize! Though you may not be rocking a diamond ring, that doesn't mean you can't bling bling all over that reception. I'm obsessed with the Stella and Bow heart necklace (pictured above). For this outfit, I'm also loving that antique looking House of Harlow cocktail ring.
Step four: Bag selection is critical. Chances are you won't want to leave your personal items on the dinner table, so choose a bag that feels like a cohesive part of your outfit and you won't mind seeing in your hand or on your shoulder in pictures. Also make sure this bag can hold all your essentials: phone, camera, make up, car keys, etc.
Step five: Snap away! The most important thing I do before each and every wedding is charge my digital camera. Capturing these amazing moments for the happy couple is one of the best gifts you can give at a wedding. They are too busy getting hitched to take pics, so you can help them see the magic of the day by acting as shutterbug.
Ok, let's review. LBD? Check! Pain-free pumps? Check! Bling? Check! Perfect purse? Check! Juiced up camera? Check!
Now we're ready to rule this wedding season.
