Today 36,000 runners will take to the starting line in Hopkington, MA for the 118th Boston Marathon. Emotions are running high as we all think back to the frightening, tragic and life changing events of last year's race.
This year, local apparel maker New Balance is celebrating the strength, power and love of the city of Boston.
The minute I saw these shoes I fell in love with them. The neon yellow and blue (the same two colors of the official marathon logo) feel electric.
Along the outside of the shoe is the hashtag #LoveBoston and a picture of the state of Massachusetts with a heart over our brave city.
The love continues on the back of the kicks, with a heart over each heel.
Never overlooking a single detail, the New Balance crew even put a little extra love in the sole of the shoes.

When they launched these limited edition sneaks, New Balance also put together a video of local residents and our very own hometown heroes sharing why they #LoveBoston.
