Support: Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl

One of my favorite events of the entire year kicks off today, the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl. For those who are unfamiliar, the Jimmy Fund hosts three days of an all-you-can-eat ice cream festival, with all of the proceeds benefitting cancer research.

The event takes place in City Hall Plaza from 12:00pm - 8:00pm. You can attend today, tomorrow or Thursday.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.

I was out of town last year and I am again this year (Boo! Hiss!), but I went in 2011 and it was awesome. The only thing better than sampling the best ice cream from all over New England, is doing it for a great cause.

When you arrive, you'll wait in line to enter and get your spoon.

Then you will make the rounds from tent to tent, eating as much ice cream and frozen yogurt as you can handle.

When I went, City Hall Plaza filled up quickly. Who can say no to unlimited ice cream?

I have two pieces of advice if you're attending for the first time: one, bring your least judgmental friends and two, get those elbows ready, you will have to fight your way to the front of each booth!

So, are you ready to dig in? Purchase your tickets right here.
