Tonight's episode of Grey's Anatomy featured a magician, his wife and their assistant. Somehow the magician actually sawed his wife in half. Did you cringe? I had to look away.
As the day wears on, the assistant admits she and the magician's wife had a romantic relationship. They were waiting to tell him until he secured a bigger show, maybe something in Las Vegas. Ouch.
Meanwhile, down the hall, Ethan is waiting for his dad to wake up. Owen takes Ethan outside to play soccer. I loved the aerial camera shots during that scene.
Later on Ethan goes home with his grandma and comes back rushed in via ambulance because he takes sleeping pills. Owen is petrified Social Services is going to take Ethan.
Also on the patient front, Kepner is treating a drunk girl and her insanely wasted friends. They aren't interested in helping Kepner, they are only interested in Jackson (who they spot across the ER). I loved when Kepner gave them the speech and shouted, "Don't you want to be awesome?"
Speaking of Jackson, he and Stephanie are in a weird phase of their relationship. He keeps her waiting at Joe's Bar and when he finally shows up she screams, "It's been 11 days. I hate that I know how long it's been, but I do." After she yells a little more they make out. All is right in the world again.
Also this hour, Arizona is being hit on by the new doctor, Lauren Boswell. I loved in the final scene in the elevator when Lauren admits she Googled Arizona.
For the entire length of this episode, our gang was trying to get Bailey to leave the genome lab. She was in there testing and re-testing herself for MRSA. The Chief calls Ben to come up from LA and sure enough, he comes right to the rescue. Bailey confides in him, "I still feel so dirty. All of those people died because of me."
In the final moments of the episode Jo is waiting for Alex outside of his house. He tells her to scram until he realizes she's hurt. It looks like she's been punched in the face. You can see Alex connecting the dots in his mind.
In previews for next week, Alex goes after the OB/GYN boyfriend and Meredith falls down the stairs. Only two episodes left until the show goes off the air for the summer!
