Grey's Anatomy: Calm Before The Storm

Tonight's episode of Grey's Anatomy picked up right where we left off last week, with Jo at Alex's front door, face bruised. Alex puts Jo to bed then runs out the front door, presumably to find Jason and destroy him.

At the hospital the gang is preparing for a fierce storm moving in. Owen asks for all hands on deck and Bailey raises a hand to print charts instead of to operate. She is still traumatized.

The team winds up working on a dangerous surgery where a man has metal rods through his body. Owen forces Meredith to leave the OR because it's too dangerous. She is so mad that trips up the stairs and falls down a whole flight. Thankfully she and the baby were fine.

This hour Dr. Boswell is still working with Arizona on a facial repair surgery and they are still flirting like crazy. Their obvious chemistry hits a boiling point, resulting in a passionate make out in an on call room. Didn't that scene feel like Grey's season one?

Meanwhile, Alex comes to find Derek and brings him to Jason, laying in a hospital bed with his face smashed in. I immediately assumed Alex did this to him, but later on we find out Jo actually beat him up. Jesus.

Alex tries to convince Jason not to press charges by saying, "Any way you tell the story, it still sounds like you are a guy who hits girls."

Towards the end of the episode, Alex and Jo are back at home and it seems like they are going to kiss. Just as I thought they were going to lean in, a tree comes in through the front window. Damn, storm!

Tonight Cristina finally discovers my coma patient Paul hasn't woken up. Derek is operating and his to leave the OR, handing the surgery over to Brooks. I nearly died when Cristina started banging on the glass and shouting, "No, Mousey! No!"

Thanks to the surgery, Paul wakes up and Ethan won't have to go into foster care. Owen is upset because he was contemplating adopting him. This issue is going to rear it's ugly head again, I can feel it.

In good news, EMT Matthew proposes to Kepner with a flash mob outside the ER. Though flash mobs are totally three years ago, it was kind of adorable. As Kepner is twirling around in Matthew's arms she locks eyes with Avery and honestly, she seemed ok. Now we see if Avery decides to fight for her.

In the very final scene of the episode Meredith's water breaks. In the previews for next week we see Meredith has to have a C-section and it's happening in the dark because they've lost power in the storm. I'm already scared.

Did anyone else hear the beautiful, acoustic version of "I would walk 500 miles" that was playing at the end? I'd love to know who sang that.

Now we are just one episode away from the season finale. Do you think Meredith's baby will be fine or have some kind of rare problem?
