Dining Out: Le Burger Brasserie

Those who have been reading all week already know that I recently returned from a trip to Las Vegas for work. They may also know that my coworker researched and booked all of our dinners out. We are both vegetarians so she combed through countless menus to find places we could both indulge.

On our second night in town we walked to the neighboring hotel, Paris, for dinner at their burger place, Le Burger Brasserie.

The ceiling above the entrance to the restaurant was incredible! I felt like I was back in Europe.

Le Burger Brasserie's menu offers countless burger options including house made buns, extravagant toppings and a myriad of sauces.

I started our meal with a giant drink, the frozen strawberry mojito. What I wouldn't give to have been drinking this poolside!

Though the drink was excellent, it was a meal in itself. I got full before our meal even arrived.

We decided to share a basket of French fries which were sadly underwhelming. Though they look like McDonald's fries (the holy grail), do not be deceived.

We both ordered veggie burgers. My coworker chose the whole grain bun and topped her veggie patty with caramelized onions and fresh avocado.

I went with the traditional sesame bun, but topped my burger with a fried egg and avocado. Lately I'm really into fried eggs on things.

We both really wanted to have outstanding burgers, but the veggie patty was terrible. Veggie burgers are either freshly made and terrific or they taste like shoe. This one was definitely of the shoe persuasion.

In addition to the bad burgers, we also had a really flaky waitress. We asked her about the sauces available for our burgers and she looked right at us and said, "I don't know, I don't really pay attention." We were dumbfounded.

Needless to say, we have no intention of eating here again.

Do any of my Las Vegas readers have a recommendation for a place to get a great veggie burger? Help a girl out!
