Grey's Anatomy: The Test

This week on Grey's Anatomy our gang is finally ready to take their boards. Cristina has Mr. Feeny for an instructor, Kepner can't stop sweating, Jackson is distracted by the sound of his mother's laugh next door, Karev is late and Meredith can't stop vomiting. We're off to a great start!

Half way through Kepner barges into the men's room (after Meredith and Cristina lock her out of the women's room) and has a screaming match with Jackson. My favorite moment was Avery's rant, "What am I? The guy who made you break your promise to Jesus? I'm not that guy, alright? That guy is gross! It's all very unbecoming, especially for an Avery."

As happens in moments of passion, that anger turns into burning lust and Jackson and Kepner have sex again. In the bathroom. My how things change.

For me, the most uncomfortable moment of the show was Cristina's stand off with Feeny. He clearly hated her and for a minute I wondered if she would be the one to fail.

Back at the hospital Arizona's brother's best friend, Nick, comes in with an aggressive form of cancer. He is basically untreatable and Arizona is furious he waited so long to seek help. I think he'll likely last into the final two episodes of this season.

At Mark's apartment his girlfriend Julia blurts out that she would like to have a kid with him. Sloan shares this with Derek, Derek then tells Lexie. At the end of the episode Lexie finally gets the courage to share her feelings with Mark. In typical Lexie fashion she's neurotic, rambling and scattered. Before Mark even has a chance to respond, Julia shows up. Do you think Mark still has feelings for Lexie? Or was he on the verge of gently turning her down?

In the final minute of the episode our gang stands together refreshing their browsers on their phones to find out if they've passed the boards. Cristina, Meredith, Avery and Karev all get passing marks and then we see Kepner, who stares straight ahead blankly. We are supposed to assume she failed.

In previews for next week it looks like Karev and Cristina are planning to leave the nest and Derek says to Meredith, "We're leaving." We also see Cristina in bed with Owen and Arizona outside the hospital crying. Something tells me next week is going to emotional!
