90210: Speak Now

It's the week of season finales. Last night it was Gossip Girl, tonight it's 90210 and on Thursday Grey's Anatomy will bid us adieu too.

Within the first five seconds of tonight's episode I was already smiling. Why you ask? Because Carly Rae Jepsen's song "Call Me Maybe" was playing. Judge if you must, but I love it.

Naomi finds herself putting the finishing touches on Max and Madison's wedding though she still has feelings for Max. Ironically, when Naomi acts as the stand in during the rehearsal she is wearing a white dress. When Naomi asks Max about his comments after the bachelor party, he claims he was drunk and doesn't remember the conversation. Madison, who is oblivious to everything, puts an offer on the house across the street from Naomi. Awkward city!

Meanwhile, Navid offers to father Silver's baby. He imagines them back together and raising a family, but Silver only has eyes for Liam. The triangle continues!

After weeks of silence, Dixon calls Adriana and begs her to come meet him at the Santa Monica Pier. She goes and waits and he never shows up. We come to find out he's in the middle of the desert on his way back after a flat tire. Dixon calls Navid and pleads with him to find Adriana and tell her what's happening. Seconds after he hangs up the phone, his car gets hit by a massive truck. Please don't let him be dead.

This week Ivy, Caleb and Annie join forces to throw a rally for Diego. Ivy offers to marry Diego to help him get a green card, but he declines. He ultimately decides to go back to Mexico. By the end of the hour, Ivy is buying a plane ticket to Mexico City. This story line is so crazy that I am not even going to dignify it with an analysis.

Also crazy is Caleb deciding to re-join the priesthood. Poor Annie.

The episode ends with three major bombs:

  • Naomi interrupts Max and Madison's wedding to confess her love and surprise! Max loves her too! Naomi then attacks his face. She looks like the worst kisser I have ever seen.
  • Vanessa returns! Apparently she and Liam are contractually bound.
  • In the final scene Silver is pouring two glasses of wine, hands one off to someone we can't see and says, "I choose you." I thought the episode might end right there and they'd leave us with a cliffhanger, but no! Instead they reveal the father of Silver's future baby will be Teddy! Welcome home, Teddy! Where is your boyfriend?

Well, that's all folks! From now until September we'll be wondering if Dixon survives, if Naomi and Max will really last and if Silver and Teddy will in fact parent a child together. We've got a lot to chew on!
