90210: For The Love Of Max

This week on 90210 Naomi finds herself hosting Max's fiance's bachelorette party. The fiance, Madison, is squeaky clean and Naomi tries to find any flaw she possibly can. She even tempts Madison with her childhood crush, Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys. When that fails, Adriana commands, "Game over, Sneaky Spice." Ha!

Later on at the bachelorette, after Naomi has spiked six of Madison's drinks, Madison takes a bat to the shark tank in the aquarium and tries to set the sharks free. Oy. First of all, there is no way those tanks would shatter with one swing of a bat. Have you ever been to an aquarium? Those tanks are built to withstand thousands of little kid faces pressed up against them every single day.

Ivy ditches out on the bachelorette party to go looking for Diego. Diego's skater friends make Ivy feel like his hiding out is all her fault. Annie winds up orchestrating a meet up for Ivy and Diego on PJ's boat. While on the boat, Ivy and Diego sleep together and exchange those three precious words, "I love you." What I find so infuriating about the 90210 writers is that they flip flop. For example, two episodes ago, Ivy was devastated by Raj's death and now all of a sudden, she is cured of that loss and is in love with Diego. I think not.

Toward the end of the episode Ivy and Diego arrive at Caleb's church to ask if Diego can seek asylum there. Interesting.

While on the subject of Caleb, he spent the entire episode drunk. Apparently he quit the seminary and is trying to digest that he slept with Annie and that she was a prostitute. I don't know why, but I find myself rooting for Annie and Caleb.

The biggest drama of the night came from the Silver-Liam-Navid love triangle. First both men show up to Silver's doctors appointment with flowers (who does that?). Then they face off in darts, pool and shots to see who is the best man for Silver. At the end of the episode Silver tries to call off the feud  by letting the boys know what she really needs from a boyfriend right now is for someone to fertilize her eggs so she can have a baby someday. She stares them down and barks, "Which one of you is up for that?" Her stare is met with silence.

In previews for next week's season finale we see that Naomi screams out during Max and Madison's wedding, "She's not the love of your life, I am!" I am very curious to see how the writers end this season. Will there be a giant cliff hanger? Will be see the return of Dixon? Will Navid or Liam rise to the occasion?
