Grey's Anatomy: Gone Fishing

I absolutely loved this week's episode of Grey's Anatomy! Love, love, loved it! I'm so excited, its difficult to know where to begin!

How about with Cristina. Finally! Finally on her fishing trip with Derek, after a tender moment between friends, Cristina has a break through. While holding her 28 pound trout, she has an emotional release. Its unclear if she was crying because she's relieved Derek is alive, or that they are both alive, or that she just felt alive in that moment. No matter the reason, I was touched.

Back at the hospital, Dr. Bailey assigns Lexi, Dr. Kepner and Dr. Avery the task of monitoring three patients to prevent fistulas. Dr. Bailey is still shaken from losing her patient (played by Mandy Moore) to a fistula-related complication. This plot lined yielded several laugh out loud lines from Dr. Kepner who has finally transitioned from annoying to hilarious. Bravo!

Another bravo to Shonda Rhimes for giving my girl Dr. Bailey a new love interest! Nurse Eli is not only sexy as hell, but puts Bailey in her place. Please let him be in the next several episodes. Pretty please with a cherry on top!

Speaking of love connections, Mark and Lexi reunited at last! I loved them together, even when I found it creepy that he called her "Little Grey." Now that his daughter seems to be out of the picture, I hope they have some staying power.

Apparently Callie and Arizona lack staying power. I was stunned when Callie slammed the door in Arizona's face. She spent the whole episode talking about how much she missed her, how she could think of nothing else and then when given the opportunity to have it all again, she passed! What?

Lastly, how cute was Scott Foley in this episode? I always loved him as Noel on Felicity and he was just as charming in this role. Do you really think Dr. Altman will marry him? I wouldn't mind seeing him for several episodes to come.

According to the previews, the next new episode will not be until January 2011! It sounds like there is a shooting with multiple victims that the Seattle Grace team is called to treat. Will this trigger PTSD for our Docs? Also, Cristina is shown wearing her blue scrubs again! Could it be? Does Cristina return to surgery?
