Grey's Anatomy: More Than A Feeling

This week's episode of Grey's Anatomy had little plot advancement but serious emotional development. For the second week in a row Justin Chambers (who plays Alex Karev) had a superb story line which showed off his acting chops. In this installment he discovers the rare condition affecting a tormented teenage girl (played by Disney star Demi Lovato). I must admit, after the Ava story line and the subsequent backlash, I wasn't such a Karev fan, but these last two weeks, he is really growing on me, especially when he agreed to label he and Lexi "boyfriend" and "girlfriend."

Speaking of Lexi, just as she was committing to Alex, Mark drops the bomb that he is still in love with her! To my shock, Lexi responds, "I have a boyfriend. I'm with Alex." I wonder if she will stick with that decision, or wander back in Mark's direction.

This hour Owen asks Cristina to move in with him. She says yes without hesitation until Meredith plants the seed of doubt. Ultimately Cristina confronts Owen about any lingering feelings for Teddy, but they get interrupted. In a final scene, Cristina crawls into bed with Meredith (like the good old days) for some comfort and support.

Also this episode, Bailey gets it on with the sexy anesthesiologist Ben! I've always thought Taye Diggs was the most handsome black man I had ever seen, but I might be mistaken. Bailey of course tries to push Ben away when she catches him flirting with a nurse, but he reassures her and I actually believe this might work out!

At the end of the episode there was a preview for next week's two hour season finale and let me tell you, it looked super intense! Someone opens fire in Seattle Grace! There is a moment where they show Dr. Bailey on the floor (clearly ducking from something) and then a look of horror comes across her face. I am already anxious! Creator and writer Shonda Rhimes tweeted on Wednesday of this week, "Part 2 of GA Finale is now 53 seconds over running time. That last minute is a bitch..."

Ok, the last minute is a bitch? More than the final moment of last year's finale? For anyone that needs a refresher: George was hit by a bus, mangled beyond recognition, ultimately died, and then appeared to Izzie in a dream as a U.S. army solider (outside the hospital elevator of course, because everything important on Grey's happens in an elevator). I cried for 30 minutes straight after that finale! If they do that to me again, I'll be a wreck!

Also, singer and actress Mandy Moore plays a patient in the finale. Fun addition!
