Gossip Girl: We Were Merely Freshman

This week's episode of Gossip Girl had the perfect ratio of scenes featuring characters I love and characters I love to hate. Let's begin with people and things that make my blood boil. Always more fun to end on a high note, no?

What is going on with Dan's hair? Seriously. This needs to be remedied immediately, if not sooner.

Serena, Serena, Serena! How much longer do we have to witness this train wreck? If Chuck can be monogamous, you go to college! The lying, the game playing, the feigning interest in Carter. It's just exhausting to watch.

Nate and Bree. This new couple went from adorable to cheesy and lame in one episode. GG FAIL.

Now for some Upper East Side sunshine! Can we have a round of applause for the return of Dorota! I must confess, I had forgotten about her, but squealed with delight upon her return!

Blair and her headbands. Choosing a headband for the first day of freshmen year, giving headbands in gift bags to her fellow freshmen, and Dan forcing her to take it off when arriving at a party. All classic moments.

Blair vs. Georgina. Isn't it fun to watch people try to sabotage each other? Its positively delicious! Not sure which was better - Georgina organizing a screening of Vanessa's documentary during Blair's sushi party, or Blair calling in the Jesus freaks to Georgina's party? We'll call it a draw. Here's hoping there's a round two!

The fantastic plot twist of Dan's hook up with Georgina! I did not see that coming! I actually screamed at the television. Well played, GG.

And now my most favorite moment of the entire hour, the final scene when Blair arrives to Chuck's apartment to find him in bed, in his black silk pajamas (no doubt mourning the loss of his business deal) and just spoons him and they both relax into each other after a terrible week. Could you just die of cuteness overload? I think I actually melted.
