Dining Out: Paris Creperie

We all have those restaurants that we walk by regularly and say "I really should try that." This week I finally went into an adorable cafe I had passed hundreds of times.

Paris Creperie in Coolidge Corner in Brookline is a small cafe situated between Walgreens and the Upper Crust on bustling Harvard Street. The space is long and narrow and houses roughly ten tables that seat two to four people at each. Along both walls the tables are set against leather banquettes. The decor is minimal, but two large clocks adorn the space behind the counter, one displaying Boston time and one displayed Paris time. A very cute touch!

The cafe offers both sweet and savory crepes as well as a delicious list of hot coffees, teas and hot chocolate varieties (think nutella and mint, nutella and raspberry!) as well as smoothies. For my first trip, I decided to try the Spanish omelet crepe - scrambled eggs, gruyere cheese and grilled vegetables. It was sublime!

All around me people we ordering sweet crepes - strawberry and banana, strawberry and nutella, butter and sugar . . . are you drooling? I was. I can't wait to go back and indulge my sweet tooth!

Paris Creperie offers an intimate atmosphere, a fantastic menu, friendly service and great prices. If you can't jet to Paris, at least you can dine like a Parisian!
