While watching TV today I saw a preview for a new movie, debuting July 1st starring Johnny Depp, Christian Bale and Marion Cotillard that I am absolutely dying to see!
As if that all star, leading cast wasn't enough to draw you in, the movie is set in the Depression and follows the escapades of bank robber John Dillinger (played by Johnny Depp). Robberies = exciting. Just ask the cast of Ocean's Eleven.
This is Depp's first masculine role in a while considering his last box office hits - Pirates of the Caribbean, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Finding Neverland.
From the trailer, the film feels like The Dark Knight meets The Newton Boys.
The movie also features in supporting roles, two of my favorite actors - Billy Crudup (Inventing the Abbotts, Almost Famous, Big Fish) and Giavanni Ribisi (The Boiler Room, FRIENDS).
