This week on 90210 we saw a familiar character emerge. The family member we never knew about, who comes into town, charms everyone, then steals all your money and your boyfriend. Past examples include: Valerie Malone and Gina Kincaid from the original 90210 and Hailey Nichols from the O.C. This time, its Jen Clarke, Naomi's older sister.
Jen is allegedly studying at Yale, and tells grandiose stories about traveling abroad, rubbing elbows with celebs, and having the cash to buy property in Malibu. We've seen Million Dollar Listing, we know how much that kind of purchase requires. Who do you think you're fooling?
Well, as it turns out, Jen is pursuing Mr. Matthews (boy gets around!) and she confesses to him she has blown through all $1 million dollars of her trust fund in two months. Nice work. Too bad she hasn't told Naomi, and just convinced her kid sis to have their father turn Naomi's trust fund over to her for safe keeping.
In other bad news, after a baby/bridal shower with the girls, and a bachelor party with the boys, Adriana and Navid decide to give the baby up after all, and to call off their engagement. This would have been a perfect time for Adriana to deflower the innocent Navid, but I guess the whole "pregnant with another guy's baby" thing is a bit of a mood killer.
In an interesting twist, it seems Ethan is hitting on Silver! He gives a cheesy speech about each person in a relationship being an island, and people having to build bridges to meet each other in the middle, blah blah blah. Silver takes this to mean she isn't putting enough into her relationship with Dixon. Ethan looks visibly disappointed.
Towards the end of the episode Liam continues his pursuit of Annie calling her a "volcano ready to erupt". Could we see Annie vs. Naomi, round two? Fighting over Ethan wasn't enough?
In previews for next week the whole gang puts on their best duds for the prom. You know this is always a high drama event. See Never Been Kissed, She's All That, 10 Things I Hate About You or Means Girls for reference. It also appears Jen and Kelly will duke it out over Mr. Matthews. Poor Kelly. First Brenda, now this.
Photos have emerged of Adriana with child. Water breaking at the prom? Hopefully after she's already posed for pictures! It also seems Brenda is making a return! She has a great Spring dance memory.
