Forecast: Scheming With A Chance Of Arrest

This week's episode of Gossip Girl felt a lot like the olden days of Saved by the Bell. The whole gang banding together to scheme and pull one over on Mr. Belding, or in this case Gabriel and Poppy.

The references to a Ponzi scheme and Bernie Madoff felt a bit too soon to me. Anyone else?

At first I was less than impressed with return of a subdued Georgina Sparks, but in the final scene of the episode when she declares "You can tell Jesus that the bitch is back" I threw my arms up in triumphant cheers!

Despite the thrill of Georgina returning to her old ways, I was saddened and in genuine pain when Blair confronted Chuck, once and for all, about their relationship. With tears in her eyes, she has to listen to him say "Its just a game. I hate to lose. You're free to go." Excuse me while I rip my heart out, and watch is bleed on the floor. When Serena asks Chuck why he lied, he says "Because I love her, and I can't make her happy." Chuck, you fool! Quit the self-deprecating and give in!

I was also confused by Eric's incredible likeness to David Archuleta in the scene where Rufus asks for Lily's hand in marriage. Eric's new dark hair color bears incredible likeness to the American Idol cutie. I am surprised by the fact that I am not sad about the potential Rufus-Lily split. I find myself unaffected by the possibility of their break up.

What I was affected by was Jenny's TERRIBLE hair cut! What is going on there? Bangs in her eyes, crimpy/curly/overdone wackness in the back? Ick.

Looks like next week's episode will actually be the pilot for the Lily Van der Woodsen spin off. Not interested. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

More photos have appeared of prom and graduation, to be included in future episodes! Getting very excited! You know you love it, xoxo.
