Baruch Atah Ay Dios Mio!

This week on Gossip Girl Cyrus returned! (And I couldn't be happier). The actor known for his roles in Clueless and the Princess Bride is a delightful addition to the Upper East Side GG gang.

Cyrus and Eleanor have returned from their trip just in time to host the Passover seder. Blair could not be any less thrilled about this upcoming event and says to Serena while being fitted for a bridesmaid's dress (for Nate's cousin Tripp's wedding) "My mom and Cyrus are hosting Passover. I thought the first born were supposed to be spared! I'm one of the chosen ones. I was wandering through the Bassian desert and now I've reached the Vanderbilt promised land." Bravo, GG! Superb and witty writing!

Eleanor is not thrilled about hosting either (on account of Cyrus' mothers joining them) and hires a catering service to assist her. The same catering service Dan has decided to work for to help pay for Yale. Go figure.

Eleanor confesses "I don't even know how to say half the words in this prayer book named after Joe Lieberman's wife!" to which Dan responds "She's Hadassah. I think the prayer book is called Hagadah." HA! Brilliant! Who knew Lonely Boy went to Hebrew school?

Dan's great lines only continue when Serena arrives, explains that she might have gotten married in Spain, and Dan replies, who am I to call the kettle black, "I'm a cater waiter at a seder." LOVE THE RHYMING!

But the best line of the whole night came from Gossip Girl herself! When Gabriel arrives uninvited to the seder, GG says "Baruch atah ay dios mio! This Passover is going to get its own Spanish Inquisition." Hilarious and a historical reference. Double whammy.

This episode there was also a side story in which Jenny confronts Chuck. Love her ripping into him, and love that she has a new boy toy! Side note - where is Eric?

The end of the episode left me confused. Why did Gabriel kiss Serena then go back to Poppy? Does Poppy want to destroy Serena? Because she can get in line.
Previews for next week's episode show Blair and Chuck reuniting to do some spying on Gabriel and Poppy, and who returns to the Upper East Side? GEORGINA! Buckle up kiddies, we're expecting some turbulence.
