Cat Fights and Love Triangles

This week in the big apple the claws were out! Whitney invites Olivia to come with her and Erin to Jay's band's performance at the Cutting Room. When Whitney and Erin arrive at Olivia's to pick her up, she insists they sit for a glass of "champy" (translation = champagne), and help her decide between her white DVF blazer or her black DVF blazer. Ooo, tough call there. Between the bubbly and the blazers, the ladies wind up being super late to the show, and Whit feels the guilt. Big time.

At the show Erin's ex JR arrives and tells her he still has feelings for her. Erin, who is technically still dating Duncan, feels very confused. She has dinner alone with JR later in the week, and still can't choose between them. Finally, when she visits him at Brother Jimmy's BBQ while he's bartending, he takes his break to talk with her outside, and she confesses that she still cares for Duncan, and doesn't think they can hang out anymore. Ouch. Hey JR, if you're feelin lonely, I'd be happy to keep you company. Wink.

To make up for causing the ladies to be tardy to his band's show, Olivia hooks up Jay with a gig as the musical entertainment at a charity event at the Hotel Gansevoort. In a very cute scene in Whit's apartment, she coyly asks Jay if he will put aside his hatred for Olivia, to accept her olive branch and take the gig. He agrees. Black tie affair, make way for Tamarama.

At the event Olivia and her evil cousin Nevin spend the event criticizing Jay and the band's clothes, as well as their music. Whitney overhears the chatter, and when Jay wraps his set he practically shoots out the door, rocket style. Olivia gasps in disgust and horror, exclaiming "Did Jay just leave without saying goodbye or thank you? How rude!"

The next day at work Olivia has her ice queen crown on and she cannot wait to blast Whitney with her cold words. Olivia tells Whitney it was unacceptable for Jay and his band not to dress up for the event, and incredibly rude to leave without a "thank you". Whitney defends her man, explaining that is not his kind of event, or the style of the band, and he only ran out they way he did because he was so offended by her and Nevin's peanut gallery jabs. Olivia ends the conversation by saying "You know, we really shouldn't even be talking about this at work. Let's keep our personal and professional lives separate please". Oh no she didn't!

In the previews for next week we see that Duncan is back in town. Will Erin confesses she was hanging out with JR? Will she let Duncan show his devotion and move to NYC to be near her? We also see that Jay contemplates moving out his apartment with Adam and tells Whitney he'd be most comfortable living with her! Holy fast line, Batman! Buckle up, forecast for next week: turbulence.
